California Hands Free Law
As of July 1 it is illegal to drive holding your cell phone in California. As much as I yell “hang up and drive!” from my car (only when the windows are rolled up) this video makes a really good point.

In response to your votes I have hired a personal trainer and we start this week. I will keep you updated on my progress if I survive.
I see that the “wine research” project also garnered the same number of votes. I won’t let you down there either but don’t know that a bottle of wine daily will work out as I’ve found in the past that drinking and working out don’t exactly go together.
As you may have heard by now I have left my post at Clear Channel. This was a tough decision as I have been there for a long time trying to put things right that were once wrong and hoping each time that the next leap would be the leap home. I have a couple of months to see what’s shaking before deciding on what to do next. I thought I’d give you the opportunity to vote on what I should do during the break:

Catalysts of Change:
When I put up the last post on the old site template I was irritated by the lack of space. The content area of the layout was way too narrow. Putting up videos has always required resizing.
I had a really slick idea on a new template and even put it to paper. When I went to actually do it, however, I found that while the CSS “standard” has published the capabilities I was looking for, browser technology has not yet brought them to life.
Then I was browsing a few sites and that spurred the wide-screen transition to plan B, which is what you see now.
I will miss the nice shots of Cincinnati for sure and the shadows. You may not have even noticed - but on the old skin, the shot of town was a day shot if you were here during the day, and a night shot if you came after dark. This was even adjusted for daylight savings time.
I wanted to do something neat with this one as well, so the moon up there is in its proper phase and will wax and wane with the real thing.
Over the weekend my friend Darrin and I trekked down to the Kentucky Bourbon trail and visited some distilleries.
I took a few pictures with the camera phone but they are really really paranoid about fires (with good reason) so they prohibit cell phones for the most part. Darrin had a digital camera and you can see the pics in his Flickr feed
We originally planned 4 stops but had to cut it short. Some of the tours are in-depth and very long.
The smell in the barrel storage warehouses is amazing.
